Everyone is welcome

We are glad you are thinking of visiting us. Our Sunday Worship begins at 10:30am. Our Sunday Worship is about an hour in length and includes music, readings, time for reflection and a sermon. We invite visitors to introduce themselves, but this is totally optional. September-June, most services are led by our ministers. Guest ministers join us for the summer. Information about upcoming services is available. If you want to read or listen to past sermons, most sermons are available in our sermon archives.

Greeters and ushers will be available to answer your questions and assist you. We encourage visitors to enter through the Massachusetts Avenue door unless you need elevator access. Our elevator is located at the 1 Church Street door on the side of the building.

Nursery care is available for young children every Sunday. September through June, children in grades K-6 are welcome to visit the R.E. classes. Children are always welcome in the Meetinghouse.

Please join us in the parlor for refreshments following the service. Social Hour is a great time to meet people and to inquire about the many activities at First Parish. Program groups and social justice taskforces often host informational tables during social hour. Check out the bulletin boards near the parlor for items that may interest you. You can pick up a current copy of our Community Guide.

Information about activities is available in the weekly announcements and our monthly electronic newsletter, the Meeting House News. You can fill out a visitor card to be sent an email with links to these publications. We are located in Harvard Square on the corner of Church Street and Massachusetts Avenue. We are easily accessible by public transportation. Free parking is available on Sundays until 1:00 pm in the Church Street lot. Stamp your parking ticket at the table in the Mass. Ave. foyer. If you stay in the parking lot after 1pm, you will be charged the full regular price for parking. Free parking is available on Sundays on nearby streets – residential parking restrictions do not apply on Sundays. Directions to the church are available.
