The Meetinghouse

A classic New England meetinghouse built in 1833. Main entrance is located on Massachusetts Avenue. The Mass. Avenue foyer is suitable for an information table or ticket sales/collection. Elevator access is at 1 Church Street. The main floor space consists of 68 main pews, 5 side pews and 8 side boxes and it seats 400 people in the pews, which have comfortable cushions. There is a raised platform at the front of the Meetinghouse suitable for lectures, musicians or a panel discussion. The space is without religious decoration. A Steinway grand piano (5’10”) at the front of the Meetinghouse is available for a fee. Use of the organ needs to be negotiated. the organ, a three-manual Austin from 1917, was rebuilt and tonally designed in 1985.
The balcony seats an additional 200 people. The balcony seats are not cushioned and the floor is not carpeted.

The Crothers Chapel

The Chapel is a simple room with carpeted floor and flexible seating. There is an organ (two-manual Wick with full pedalboard) and a non-denominational altar at the front of the room. Windows overlook a the historic Old Burying Ground. Lights can be dimmed. The room is suitable for meetings, classes and ceremonies such as weddings, memorial services and child blessings. Entry is normally at 3 Church Street. 90 people can be seated lecture style.

The Helverson Parlor

The Parlor is located next to the entry for 3 Church Street. The front windows overlook Church Street. The room features a wooden floor and wooden panel walls. There is a wooden divider. This room is suitable for lectures, meetings and receptions. The kitchen is connected to the Parlor. A large (installed) projection screen and a portable lectern are available, as well as a Sohmes grand piano. 90 people can be seated for a lecture. There is space in the Church Street foyer for an information table or ticket sales/collection.

The Barn Room

The Barn Room is located on the second floor and features a large striking arched window that overlooks a historic graveyard. The floor is wooden and the walls painted white. The room is suitable for lectures, meetings, classes and receptions. Entry is normally 3 Church Street and the space is elevator accessible. 90 people can be seated for a lecture.

The Stebbins Gallery

The Stebbins Gallery is a small art gallery with unique features. It is suitable for a small lecture or a reception for 45 people. The entry is at Zero Church Street. The lobby in front of the Gallery is suitable for an information table or ticket sales/collection.
