Earth Day Celebration - “We Are The Great Turning”

During worship, we reflect on the work of reimagining and claiming our place in this Great Turning. Buddhist activist Joanna Macy coined the paradigm shift, “The Great Turning." She describes it as a shift from an industrial growth society, focused on consumption and destruction, to a life-sustaining civilization. This is made possible by doing the "work of re-connecting", work that we as Unitarian Universalists are called to do. Sophia Doescher preaching.

Our Religious Exploration program will have special Earth Day celebrations in the classrooms with stories, games, and activities honoring the earth and remembering all that it gives us.

After the service, join the Environmental Justice Team and Young Adults for a "re-connecting" walk through the burial ground. Get to know the trees and other life around us!
