You are so amazing!   We are at 77% of our goal.

Every year you have been so receptive to supporting the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute’s Mother’s Day Walk for Peace. This year is very different in that The Walk will be a virtual walkathon. It is also different in that so many great causes are asking for your help because of the coronavirus crisis.

Many of you have already given and a big thanks!  

First Parish has been partnering with the Peace Institute for many years and they rely upon us. Historically, we are one of their top donors. If you can, would you give your support again? This yearly fundraising event is what keeps the Institute operating. It is essential. It supports their vital services, advocacy and training.

For 26 years the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute has been doing the healing, advocacy, and peacemaking work for families and communities impacted by gun violence and homicide. This work is primarily in the Boston area, but recently their resources and advocacy strategies have been informing communities all over the nation. They have created a guide for hospital personnel and for funeral homes to deal more sensitively with these tragedies.
