Elders Group

The Elders Group offers older members of the First Parish community an opportunity to gather monthly for supportive community and for exploration of shared issues and a large range of interesting topics, both via interactive discussion and guest speakers. Anyone who identifies as an elder is most welcome to contact Jane Sturtevant,  or Rae Simpson,  to learn more and/or to be added to the email list for announcements of meetings. Meetings are currently held on ZOOM on the first Tuesday of each month, 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm.

People of Color Caucus

If you are a person of color at First Parish and searching for support and community, our People of Color caucus meets Sundays every two weeks at 12:30 p.m. in person and over Zoom. We recognize that we are all individuals with different backgrounds and experiences, and yet we share the reality of living in a polarized society where we are targeted based on our racial identities.  For more information or to join our mailing list, contact poc-caucus@firstparishcambridge.org.

No Tough Guys

No Tough Guys is a collaborative support group for anyone who identifies as male in our congregation. We have been meeting since the fall of 2019. We explore our roles in the church, our families, our community, and our world and how to be more fully human and impactful. We have and will continue to share our perspectives on race, relationships, family, social activism, and congregational life in a respectful and supportive manner. We are open to anyone who identifies as male who wants a supportive group where he can be himself, explore issues, relationships and perspectives safely. If you are interested or want more information, contact Patrick Sullivan.
