Where does the money come from, and where does it go?

The charts below show the major sources and uses of the revenues that support all of our activities, programs and community outreach:

This year, we need to raise $315,000 in annual financial commitments from members and friends to fully fund First Parish’s mission – a 15% increase over last year’s pledge total.  This will fund additional staff and expanding programs for religious education, music and pastoral care, as well as continuing to fairly compensate our existing staff, adequately maintain our historic buildings, and fully fund our social justice work.  This goal will require each of us to carefully consider the extent to which we can support an increased annual financial commitment to sustain our First Parish community.

How much should I pledge?

Gifts in any amount are welcomed and appreciated.  And your gift of yourself – your time, your energy, and your talents – are as important and as appreciated as is your financial support.  Since everyone’s situation is different, we encourage members and friends to make an annual financial commitment that feels generous to you.
