Swimming Sideways

Indigenous People’s Day 2019 is an important day of reflection.  First Parish in Cambridge Lead Minister Adam Dyer is calling on people of the Unitarian Universalist faith to make 2020 a year of atonement for our religious ancestors’ role in establishing systems of oppression.  On Sunday, October 13 at 10:30am, guest preacher Nina Lytton will reveal the rip current of injustice in our history and how it lives on in today’s mental models.  This current drags us along into supremacist behavior norms that don’t reflect our faith.  We can escape the grip of this current.  But there’s a trick.  Get ready for a theological swimming lesson.
